The Avocado Green Pillow is an all-natural indulgence that perfectly complements our Green Mattress. Our organic pillows are made with a customizable amount of natural GOLS-certified organic latex (CU863867) rubber foam ribbons and GOTS-certified organic kapok tree fiber (CU863867), generously stuffed inside an organic cotton jersey liner, which is zipped inside a GOTS-certified organic (CU863867) cotton quilted cover. Our Green Pillow sleeps cool, light, and airy. And provides the support and resilience needed for all sleeping positions as the fill effortlessly contours to your neck and head.

ORGANIC CERTIFIED KAPOK
With the smoothness of silk and the fluffiness of cotton, GOTS-certified organic kapok fiber (CU863867) is an ideal eco-conscious pillow stuffing. It is a softer, lighter, and vegan alternative to down. The fiber has a natural, fluffy loft. It's also hypoallergenic and grown pesticide-free.

Our luxurious pillow covers are made with premium, GOTS-certified organic cotton (CU863867) — one of the softest, most breathable, and most comfortable fabrics in the world. It’s also naturally cool and wrinkle-resistant, with a buttery finish that wicks away moisture.
The Avocado Green Pillow is a natural and organic certified indulgence that perfectly complements our Avocado Green Mattress. Spot clean Avocado Green Pillow cotton cover with cold water. Do not use bleach. Hang dry. To clean the inner liner, spot clean. To refresh your pillow before bed time, just give it a good fluff. Or protect your pillow and add a touch of luxury with our Pillow Protectors.
Our natural pillows come voluminously stuffed, delivering a medium-plush feel. However, if you prefer to change its level of support, a convenient zipper enables you to remove fill to meet your ideal volume, firmness, and sleeping preference. Our pillows are handmade with only the finest GOTS and GOLS-certified organic materials in our GOTS & GOLS organic-certified factory (CU863867). The result is a finished product that is fully GOTS-certified organic. This may seem redundant, but these overlapping levels of quality assurance deliver a big win for the environment, our farmers, our factory team members, and, of course, our customers.
Because you are so close to your pillow and breathe it in all night, ensuring low emissions is important. Our Avocado Green Pillow is Greenguard Gold Certified for low emissions and Formaldehyde-Free Claim Verified by UL Environment. This lab testing for VOCs underscores our commitment to reducing indoor pollutants and improving air quality, an environmental responsibility that extends to all of our products.
Our OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 certification applies to the entire mattress, not just the cover or latex. This means that every component of our organic mattress has been lab-tested for harmful levels of toxic substances. Avocado is one of the only innerspring mattresses to meet this lab-based safety standard for the full product.
Vegan Action (the Vegan Awareness Foundation) in Richmond, Virginia, has certified the Green Pillow and its manufacturing process, verifying the pillow does not use wool and does not contain animal products or byproducts that have been tested on animals.

Our Avocado Green Pillows ship FedEx. At this time, furniture and mattress and/or bedding orders can not be coordinated to arrive at the same time.
For a luxurious and premium finish, we use GOTS-certified organic cotton (CU863637) in a soft, natural color blended with 3% elastane for functional stretch and enhanced durability—fully compliant with GOTS standards. The natural fill is a mix comprised of GOLS-certified organic latex, made with ≥95% certified organic latex, the highest possible standard, and sourced from our facilities in India and Guatemala, plus GOTS-certified organic Kapok fiber (CU863867), also sourced from India. All material processing, cut & sew, assembly, and packaging are performed at our factory. A convenient zipper makes it easy to add or remove fill to suit your sleep preference.
The Avocado Green Pillow contains no chemical flame retardants, which are known to release VOCs and impact human health. We do not add them because we believe they generally do more harm than good. (FYI: Pillows are not required to pass the Standard for the Flammability of Mattresses and Mattress Pads, issued by the CPSC. Therefore, it is logical that ignition sources should be kept safely away from any pillow that contains natural materials without the use of chemical flame retardants.)
Spot clean your cotton cover in cold water with an eco-friendly laundry detergent. Lay flat or hang to dry. Do not use bleach. Allow to dry completely before putting the cover back on your pillow. Fluff your pillow regularly; an excellent time to do so is when you make your bed in the morning.
Your Green Pillow comes with an extra fill bag for simple, customized comfort. To add volume to your pillow, or to extend its life, you can add pillow refill. Additional refill packages can be purchased in two convenient sizes.
A law label is a legally required tag or label on a new mattress or pillow describing interior filling materials. Few companies will share this information before your purchase because it separates fact from marketing hype. We believe differently. Here is what the legal tag on the standard Avocado Green Pillow says: Made in California with domestic and imported material. As a Climate Neutral Certified company since 2019, we've measured Avocado's annual cradle-to-consumer emissions, offset them by investing in climate change solutions, and started taking real action to reduce our emissions. We also recognize our offsets and reductions aren't enough. Solving climate change will require systemic solutions. That's why, through our partnerships with Ceres and the American Sustainable Business Network, we also advocate for state and federal policies that support equitable solutions to the climate crisis.
We're proud to be certified by UL Solutions for a landfill diversion rate of 85%. That means only 15% of our manufacturing waste ends up in the landfill — we upcycle or recycle the rest. Since we began Project Zero Waste in 2020, we've been a pioneer in the space, increasing our waste diversion rate by 33%. We are the first mattress and bedding company to achieve this.
